TETsync
The Trans Euro Trail, always the current version.
Trail sections change. Linesmen reroute around closures, landowners withdraw permission, tracks get resurveyed. TETsync watches the countries you care about and puts the newest GPX on your phone before you leave, not the copy you downloaded last season.
TETsync is in closed testing. The link above opens the tester opt-in on Google Play. If Play tells you the test is not open to your account, email [email protected] and you will be added to the tester list.
What it does
Pick your countries
Choose the national sections you ride. TETsync tracks each one separately, so a route change in Spain does not re-download Norway.
Checks on its own
A scheduled background check asks transeurotrail.org whether anything has been republished. Set how often, and let it run.
Only real changes
Version tags and file fingerprints are compared before anything is fetched. A re-published file that is byte-for-byte identical is not downloaded twice.
Straight into OsmAnd
Hand new routes to OsmAnd on the same device, or write them into any folder you pick. Set the track colour once and every route arrives in it.
Wi-Fi only, if you like
Route packs are not small. Tell TETsync to wait for Wi-Fi and it will never touch your mobile data. That helps when you are abroad on the trail.
Share a section
Send a single country's GPX on through Android's share sheet to a riding buddy, a laptop, or whichever planner you use.
What it does not do
No account. No tracking. No location.
- No sign-in, no identifier of any kind
- No analytics, crash reporting or ads
- Never asks for your location
- Talks to transeurotrail.org and nowhere else
- No Grondwerk server is involved at any point
- Uninstalling removes everything it stored
TETsync is an independent app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by the Trans Euro Trail or OsmAnd. Route data is published by the Trans Euro Trail and its national linesmen. TETsync only delivers it. Always check local access rules and seasonal closures before you ride.
